This coyote skull was found on the Snake River, summer 2021. It was perfectly cleaned by the currents of the river, and washed ashore on a sandy riverbank along with the full vertebrae. I rounded a grassy corner along the riverbank and discovered this little 4th of July treasure and it was truly a special moment. I cleaned it by hand and with care and precision. Acrylic on bone with a matte finish. Each skull is unique in terms of imperfections and tells it’s own unique story in relation to natural elements such as sun, water and the animal’s history. It’s my hope to share as much of the story as possible with my customers.
