I found this cow elk skull in Moran, Wyoming during the spring thaw of 2020. It was found on a riverbank, cleaned out naturally by river currents and sand. It has been cleaned by hand and with care and precision by me. Acrylic on bone with a matte finish. This skull has seen a season or two of sun, and so it has a bit more of a weathered, rough finish, but it came out absolutely stunning! There is a small imperfection on the right side of the nose. Each skull is unique in terms of imperfections and tells it’s own unique story in relation to natural elements such as sun, water and the animal’s history. It’s my hope to share as much of the story as possible with my customers.
